St. Thomas Aquinas says:  “Praise be to Jesus.”

“The reason people compromise the Truth is they want to believe they walk in righteousness while twisting the Truth to suit their own will.  But, Truth is Truth and does not change to accommodate sinful, self-serving desires.” [e.g. offering Holy Communion to adulterers]

“The prime example of this convoluted thinking is the attempt to reinterpret God’s Commandments to fit human will and desires.  The reality of the Truth is dismissed as no longer relevant in the ‘new’ truth that the soul invents for himself.” [N.B. relativism / modernism]

“Disobedience to the Truth is evil and leads the soul into darkness.  The Truth is godliness.”

Read 1 Peter 1:22 *

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the Truth for a sincere love of the brethren, love one another earnestly from the heart.

Read Titus 1:1-2 *

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the Truth which accords with godliness, in hope of eternal life which God, Who never lies, promised ages ago…

* Scripture verses asked to be read by St. Thomas Aquinas.
